Hi, I’m Chef Syd — a classically trained chef with a passion for creating beautiful, vibrant, and nourishing food. My culinary journey began in 2013, when I graduated from the prestigious Alain Ducasse Culinary Institute in Paris, France, where I learned the foundations of French technique, precision, and artistry.

Hi, I’m Chef Syd — a classically trained chef with a passion for creating beautiful, vibrant, and nourishing food. My culinary journey began in 2013, when I graduated from the prestigious Alain Ducasse Culinary Institute in Paris, France, where I learned the foundations of French technique, precision, and artistry.
After culinary school, I moved to San Francisco, California, where I spent four years cooking in several Michelin-starred restaurants. There, I honed my craft, learned from incredible chefs, and deepened my love for executing refined, thoughtful dishes at the highest level.
From the restaurant world, I transitioned into becoming a corporate chef at Thumbtack, where I had the opportunity to create meals that brought people together, fueled creativity, and inspired community.
Eventually, my passion for more personal, intimate culinary experiences led me to launch my own private chef business. Today, I specialize in private events, custom dinner parties, cooking lessons, beach picnics, weekly meal prep, and elevated at-home dining experiences.
I absolutely love what I do. Every menu I create is thoughtfully tailored to each client — their tastes, dietary needs, and the experience they want to share. My mission is simple:
to craft healthy, beautiful, and delicious meals that leave my clients feeling cared for, inspired, and excited about food.
Food is my love language, and I feel grateful every day to share that with the people I cook for.
